ventMonday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s time once again for the best of live storytelling as Rio Night Live presents the Vent- Telling it like it was event tonight at Beco das Garrafa, “Bottles Bar” in Copacabana.

Guest storytellers for the final edition of the season tonight include Amit Kumar (UK/India), Stephen Garland (Ireland), Matt Sandy (UK), Dick Sartori (NY/US) Mike Royster (US), and José Koiller (Brazil).

The event promises to once again be a great night of incredible stories, sharing, connecting and venting. Doors open at 8PM and the show begins at 8:30 PM.

Tonight Rio Night Live will present the final Vent! storytelling event of the season at Beco das Garrafa, “Bottles Bar” in Copacabana.

Rio Moonday Boat Party (Glória)
The Moonday party returns tonight and that means it’s time once again to dance while glowing in the moonlight during a nighttime board ride around Rio’s Guanabara. Boarding will begin at 11PM at the Marina da Glória and there will be welcome shots for guys until 11:30 PM and an open bar of vodka, beer and soft drinks for girls until 12AM. The boat will then depart at 12:15 AM and make its way around Guanabara Bay for four hours with DJs Angola and DJ ES$ spinning best of trap, world music, funk, house and reggaeton.

MÚSICA BRASILEIRA:

Roda de Samba with Rixxa (Lapa)
For a great night of dancing and singing, head to Lapa’s Carioca da Gema. The venue will come alive at 9:30 PM with vocalist Rixxa, accompanied by brilliant percussionists and members of the Zeca Pagodinho band, providing three hours of lively samba.

Lunes Sessions @ Leviano (Lapa)
On Monday nights in October, the Leviano bar in Lapa is presenting Lunes Sessions with band Clandestinos, led by singer-songwriter Udi Fagundes. During the night they will perform their covers of works by Manu Chao, Chico Science, Jorge Benjor, and Bob Marley as well as original arrangements of the best of reggae, dub, ska, and hip-hop.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Monday through Friday, Happy Hour is 6PM to 8PM and Monday is half price steak night starting at 8PM.

Mab’s Restaurant and Bar (Copacabana)
This American-owned restaurant and bar on Copacabana Beach is a great place for food, drinks and entertainment. They are now serving New York-style pizza and during happy hour from 5PM to 8PM, Monday through Friday petiscos are fifty percent off and chopp is R$5.50. There is also a kilo buffet Mondays through Fridays 11-4PM. Additionally, every night, Tony Boka is performing live from 8PM until 1AM. Boka is known for his varied repertoire that always pleases the crowd.

La Calaca (Leblon)
For gourmet Mexican food and great tequilla and sangria, head to La Calaca restaurant in Leblon. They are also known for their executive lunches with one grilled main dish, three side dishes and dessert for R$32.
