Untitled-1Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight the Gringo Cafe in Ipanema will host a viewing party of the second Republican presidential debate. The eleven main Republican candidates will get on stage at 8PM EST, which translates to 9PM for viewers in Rio.

Known for offering the best of classic and current American foods and for its unique interior filled with vintage Americana, this is one of the best venues in Rio to watch the debate that might help to determine the next the President of the United States or at least the next runner-up.

During the viewing event, promotions will include R$5 long necks and two-for-one specials on caipirinhas. All are welcome regardless of your party affliliation or country of origin.

Antonio Panda Gianfratti (Botafogo)
Tonight drummer Antonio Panda Gianfratti returns to Audio Rebel in Botafogo for a second night with a live performance and workshop . Gianfratti was a member of bands including the Beatnicks and Jovem Guarda and has performed with musicians including Simonal, Roberto Carlos, William Parker, John Edwards, Phil Minton, Marcio Mattos, Hans Koch, and Sabu Toyozumi among others. Tonight the workshop will begin at 6PM and Gianfratti will perform with Henry Schroy and Piqueras Santangelo beginning at 8:30 PM.

Para Todos with Policroma and Inventário (Lapa)
Teatro Odisséia presents a new edition of the Para Todos event tonight with the bands Policroma and Inventário performing live. Additionally, DJ Lucas Santos will spin during the event. Promotions include two-for-one specials on caipirinhas and mojitos until 11PM.

O Club Workout (Arpoador)
After a successful first edition in Rio last week the O Club Workout (the Workout Club) returns to Rio’s Cave club in Arpoador. Originating in NYC and arriving in Rio following the success of classes in São Paulo, the event is an aerobic twerk class inspired by pop diva choreography. The class will last approximately one hour.

American Republican Presidential Debate Viewing Evenet @ Gringo Cafe (Ipanema)
The American-owned Gringo Cafe in Ipanema, wants to know; “Will Donald Trump be our next President?” and is inviting others who are curious to come to the cafe tonight to watch the second Republican presidential debate live. Promotions during the night will include R$5 long necks and two-for-one specials on caipirinhas. The Gringo Cafe is well known for bringing all things great about America to Ipanema, including beers,atmosphere, and food. Tonight should be no exception.

The Local Beatz party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight with DJ Haron Dufau spinning the best of hip hop, funk, and Latin rhythms. Caipifrutas will be all you can drink from 11PM to 12AM.

Karaokê Indie (Botafogo)
The weekly Karaokê Indie party returns to Casa da Matriz tonight with a special edition celebrating the upcoming Rock in Rio festival. As always there will be eight hours of singing and promotions that will include two-for-one specials on five drinks; caipirinha, caipivodka, Hi-fi, Cuba Libre and mojito until midnight. Additionally, shots of Chuva cachça will be distributed throughout the night.

Latin Party Rio (Copacabana)
Tonight the weekly Latin Party Rio returns to Guimo’s Pub in Copacabana. During the party DJs Mateus, Jo, and special guests will spin the best of reggaeton, merengue, salsa, pop, house, and hits. Caipirinhas will be free until 11PM and beer will be unlimited until midnight.

It’s time for the best of rap, hip hop, deep house and trap as the weekly Breaking Rules party returns to the posh Lagoa nightclub, Miroir. Tonight the party will welcome very special guest, DJ Cia. Additionally during the night, DJs Lorão, Monraga, Rapha Castro, Nicko, and Luciano Roffer will spin.
