RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Food Bikes Festival will return to Rio Design Gourmet in Barra de Tijuca for its third edition on August 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd. Created by chef Patricia Metre, the festival aims to showcase vendors and chefs using more gourmet elements and techniques in the creation of their street food.
Twelve food bikes will participate during the upcoming edition of the festival and will offer new varieties of traditional food, drinks, sweets, desserts, and more.
Don ConeOne will offer pizza cones, pizzas served in cone form, for R$10, with options including Margherita (tomatoes and basil), Presunto (ham), Calabresa (spicy smoked sausage), and Frango (chicken). Additionally, they will offer sweets made with Nutella or Doce de Leite and strawberries or bananas for R$10.
Café Box Free will offer gluten-free cookies with nuts and caramel for R$8 and assorted expressos with orange truffles for R$4. É de Chocolate will offer churros, brigadeiros, Brazilian sweets, and more for R$4 a unit and the Brownie Bike will offer traditional brownie for R$5. The Super Paleta bike will offer ice cream in various flavors and varying portion sizes priced R$8 to R$10.
Additionally, Beer Bike 21 will offer craft beers including Cerveja Cacildis, Mistura Clássica Vertigem, Sam Adams, Wells Banana Bread, and Moa Pale Ale for prices varying from R$12 to R$28, while the Wine Bike will offer sparkling wines from Torres, Lagarde, Altas Cimbres, and Santa Digna for R$13 to R$17.
Running concurrently with the Food Bikes Festival events, the mall will host events including a caricaturist, the Radio Ibiza musical bike, and Studio Lily, which crafts floral arrangements, unique bouquets and offers custom pots and planters.
