Chapada Brasil Tours Explore the Mountains of Brazil: Sponsored

By Jay Forte, Contributing Reporter

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A new tour agency, Chapada Brasil Tours, has launched offering trips to the chapadas of Brazil. A “chapada” technically translates to a plateau found in the Brazilian highlands, but the word chapadas is usually used to describe mountainous ranges.

The agency was recently opened by Fabio Mendonça, a Carioca with strong English-language skills whose experience in tourism comes from working in hotels and hostels in the city of Rio de Janeiro, as well as a driver for private tours.

The new chapada tours came to Mendonça because as he explains, “I always had the dream to visit the chapadas of Brazil. And when I visited the first one, I became a huge fan of the Chapada dos Veadeiros in Goias. Thousands of waterfalls make the atmosphere calm, and seeing all the old rural farms make the place even more special.”

He adds, “After that, there was a second trip to the Chapada Diamantina in Bahia. Again another paradise of hiking and waterfalls that made me desire to do something dedicated to these places. [Now] our goal is to offer the best packages and tours with the best prices for the Chapadas of Brazil.”

While many think of traveling to Brazil for the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, the vast country is full of amazing rural terrain with breathtaking views of mountains ranges and waterfalls. Having a qualified and experienced tour operator helping you get there (in English), and finding safe and comfortable places to stay during the adventure is exactly what Mendonça and Chapada Brasil Tours is set up to do.
