Wednesday’s Rio de Janeiro Nightlife Pick – Tonight the sounds of improvisational free punk and experimental dark noise-jazz will fill Audio Rebel as Quintavant Qtv presents Vaso and the launch of QTV009.
Vaso features Alexander Zhemchuzhnikov on tenor sax; Cadu Tenorio on violin, amplified objects, and live sound design; Felipe Zenícola on bass and electric bass; and Paulo Dantas on soprano sax, and guitar.
Together the quartet creates radical free jazz that Clifford Allen of Tiny Mix Tapes called; “Wonderful genre-busting Brazilian free music,” adding, “Ears should be open worldwide to these important voices.”

Tonight the Karaokê Indie party returns to Casa da Matriz with a special Beatles edition. In addition to eight hours of singing on the first floor, DJs Mario Mamede will spin a four-hour set, 100% full of the best of the Fab Four.
