Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The weekly Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic indoor/outdoor 00 (Zero Zero) club tonight.
The twelve-hour party will feature DJs Andressa Fleming, Bruna Félix, and Raphaella Avenna spinning the the best of house, electro, and pop inside on the dancefloor from 5PM to 5AM Monday morning.
Additionally tonight, the Pink party will take place on the outdoor deck with DJs Ananda Nobre And Dri K. spinning there beginning at 5PM.

Tonight Quintavant Qtv presents live performances by Claudia Castelo Branco, Marcos Campello, and Ava Rocha. Branco released her first DVD, “100 mãos e um piano preparado,” in 2007 and her two albums, Gisbranco and Flor de Abril were released in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Additionally, Branco will release a new DVD later this year in October. Also performing tonight will be Marcos Campello, a guitarist for the Rio de Janeiro trio Chinese Cookie Poets and singer Ava Rocha, who released new album entitled, Ava Patrya Yndia Yracema, earlier this year.

Roda de Samba and Football with Ballet 2 Passistas (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Ballet 2 playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals. Addtionally tonight, there will be a special homage to Carmen Miranda.
