Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Following the recent MTV Brasil premiere of his video “Vira a Cara,” Rio music producer and DJ, Leo Justi will present another edition of the Heavy Baile party tonight at Fosfobox in Copacabana.
Joining Justi to spin the best of baile funk, big beat, kuduro, moombahton, dancehall, rap, trap, and more during the night will be Johnny Ice, DJ uly , Dorly , and Pedro Piu. Additionally, Tchelinho will serve as emcee during the night.
Considered one of the biggest names in Rio`s new electronic scene, Leo Justi created Heavy Baile, inspired by the sounds of the city. Justi has performed around the world including in New York, Paris, London, Barcelona, São Paulo, and Mexico City. He has also collaborated with artists including MIA and Emicida and has remixed songs by groups including Phantogram.

Tonight singer-songwriter and percussionist Alessandra Leão will perform the first of two back-to-back live shows at Oi Futuro Ipanema. The shows come after the recent release of her 2nd EP entitled, Aço. The EP is the second is Leão’s Pedra de Sal trilogy and the thrid EP is scheduled for release later this year. During the show tonight and tomorrow, Guitarists Caçapa and Rafa Barreto, bassist Fábio Sá, percussionist Abuhl Jr and drummer and percussionist Gulherme Kastrup will accompany Leão.
