williammandellSunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight American illusionist William Mandell will perform his magic show live at the Beluga restaurant in Shopping Downtown, located in the neighborhood of Barra da Tijuca.

Mandell has previously performed at Gringo Café, Barzin, Ecletico, Fasano, Cabaret Lounge, Paris6, and Star Pub, among other venues in the city.

Known for his amazing illusions that include a R$100 bill appearing out of thin air, mind reading, and much more, Mandell’s performance promises to delight and amaze the entire family.

El Miraculoso Samba Jazz (Praia Vermelha)
Today the group El Miraculoso Samba Jazz returns to the neighborhood of Urca to present another free outdoor performance at Praia Vermelha. Consisting of trombonist Henrique Vaz, bassist Marcos Luz, drummer Gabriel Barbosa and guitarist Jefferson Moreira, the group is known for its lively and fun shows.

Beginning this afternoon at 4PM, the Top of Pestana venue in Copacabana will host the Soul Mais party with with resident DJ Claudio Paez, aka Nina Soul, and DJs Ananda Nobre and Maz spinning during the during the event. Additionally, there will be a live jazz session with Iuri Nicolsky of Nova Lapa Jazz during the paryt. Top of Pestana, with its location on the rooftop of the Pestana Rio Atlântica hotel facing the famous Copacabana beach, is a venue that offers a unique and sophisticated environment. The space previously hosted Rio Music Conference (RMC) events and was home to the BudHotel events during last year’s World Cup tournament. It’s a great place to end your weekend tonight.

It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club tonight. The party will start at 5PM with DJs spinning on the outdoor deck. Then guest DJs will follow, spinning inside throughout the night until 5AM Monday morning.
