Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s time for the very best of electronic and hip-hop tonight as Estação Leopoldina hosts the second edition of the Base party with very special guest, Spanish DJ German Brigante.
Known for groovy tech house and infectious basslines, tonight will mark Brigante’s debut in Rio. He will spin on the Electronic stage during the night and also spinning there will be DJs Renato Bastos, Diamn, Art in Motion, and the Base Crew with Bernando Campos, Felipe Fella, and Pedro Mezzonato.
Additionally DJs Saravia, Donnie Jay, Vinelli, and Pinochet will spin on the hip-hop stage during the party.
The Base party is produced by Yuso Barros and first took place in Rio at Fosfobox in Copacabana with resident DJs Bernando Campos, Felipe Fella, and Pedro Mezzonato. Following tonight’s party, the next edition is scheduled to take place in October.

Today from 12PM to 7PM, Kiosks 9 and 10 (Espaço Ox) on Praia do Leme off Atlantic Avenue will host the Festa Páscoa Vegena and Orgânica (Vegan and Organic Easter Party). There will be chocolate, easter eggs and vegan meals available as well as organic feijoada plus ice cream, cheese, and organic beverages. Additionally, exhibitors will sell clothing, organic accessories and cosmetics and there will be live music and belly dancing performances during the day.

Baby do Brasil (Lapa)
Legendary Brazilian singer-songwriter Baby do Brasil will perform live at Lapa’s Circo Voador tonight. Also known at Baby Consuelo, the performer is well known for her pop, samba and MPB songs that include “Preta, Pretinha”, “Ziriguidum”, and “Acabou Chorae”, among others. Tonight she launch her new DVD with new arrangements of her hits “Tudo Azul”, “Cósmica”, “Todo Dia Era Dia de Índio” and “Um Auê Com Você. ” During the show tonight she also will be joined by very special guest Caetano Veloso.
