Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the band Punching Namard will play the very best of Irish Music, live at Lapa Irish Pub.

The pub began hosting St. Patrick’s Day events on Friday, March 13th and has steadily been building up energy for the big blow-out tonight.

The pub is well known for its quality imported beers, including great selections from Ireland. Located beside the famous Arcos da Lapa (Lapa Arches), the pub is also known for its great atmosphere and lively and friendly clientele.

The Ultimate Paddy’s day Party in Rio! (Copacabana)
Tonight Blue Agave in Copacabana will host a very special Quiz Night Rio, St. Patrick’s Day edition. During the event hosted by Irish expat, Stephen Garland, teams will face off to test their knowledge of the Emerald Isle with rounds of Irish-themed questions. Following the quiz, beginning at 9PM, an Irish DJ will spin and there will be karaoke. Menu options during the night will include “Paddy ‘O Bacon” and “Cabbage TacO.” Additionally, available drinks will include Guinness and green caipirinhas.

Clover Irish Pub (Copacabana)
Tonight the Clover Irish Pub in Copacabana is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with promotions including two for one caipirinhas, two for one Bohemias and green pints of beer. Gláucio Nunes and Ratz will also perform live, during the night.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with green beer and promotions on food, drinks and Chopp Guinness. This is always as great spot to visit as it often offers live music and classic pub games like darts and pool.

The Lord Jim Pub (Lapa)
The oldest pub in the city, the Lord Jim Pub in Ipanema, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day tonight with Ronaldo Caudilho playing rock and roll and DJ Victor Medina spinning live. There will also be very special promotions to commemorate the holiday.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
The Bem Brasil party returns to 00 tonight with DJ Haron spinning the best of Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, kuduro and hip-hop. Caipirinhas will be free from 11PM until midnight and as part of Rio Restaurant Week, which began on March 9th and will continue through the 29th, the restaurant at 00 will be offering special menus items. The weekly Bem Brasil party is known for bringing together 60 Rio hostels with locals and other visitors to the city. It’s always a great opportunity to mix and mingle in one of the chicest venues in Rio.

Feel Leblon (Leblon)
The weekly Feel Leblon party is back at Sette Leblon bar and lounge tonight. Promotions include all you can drink caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beer all night long. DJs will keep the party going until 4AM as they spin the best of pop, house, reggaeton, hip-hop and more.

Joyce Cándido and Liz Rosa (Centro)
Tonight at Rio Scenarium, Liz Rosa with start the night with a presentation of “Aprendendo a Jogar” (Playing the Game), a tribute to Brazilian singer Elis Regina. Singer Joyce Cândido will follow at 10:30PM with the best of samba including her reinterpretations of works by Noel, Cartola, and Chico Buarque.

Mab’s Restaurant and Bar (Copacabana)
