Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s time for the best of axé, brega-pop, funk, tecno-tosqueiras, hip-hoparangolé, rock-capricho, and all of the other sounds that have helped the Bomba Santa parties become increasingly popular events.
Tonight the party holds a special DJ Narciso birthday edition at Copacabana’s Fosfofox with more than a dozen DJs throwing down to keep the celebration going well into the morning.
DJs Fl3sh Disco, Bárbara Oliveira and Eduardo Castelo, Richard L, Beta Figueiredo, Felipe Rodrigues, PJ Barra, Caio Costa, Rennan Guerra, Andre Duarte, Ingrid Gründig, Paloma and Jeff will spin at the Fosfobar, tonight dubbed the “Pistafodona.” Meanwhile, DJs Narciso, Julha Gameiro, Batcambunda and # FolatruaVJs will hold things down in Fosfobox’s subsolo (basement).

“DCara” – Marcelo Eco Exhibition (Ipanema)
Tonight the Homegrown gallery in Ipanema opens “DCara”, an exhibition by graffiti artist Marcelo Eco. The exhibition features a main screen, smaller screens, a sculpture, serigraphs and the skethchbook by the artist.Eco will also launch his new Puma print t-shirt. The exhibition will run through August 30th. It will be open on Mondays through Fridays from 10AM to 8PM and on Saturdays from 12PM to 6PM.
