Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight it’s time for the best of Axé, brega-pop, funk, tecno-tosqueiras, hip-hoparangolé, rock-capricho and more as the popular Copacabana club, Fosfobox hosts the Bomba Santa party.
Spinning in the venue’s subsolo (basement) will be special guest DJ Mc Gorila. DJs Narciso, Julha Gameiro, Batcambunda, and Fernando Schlaepfer will also take to the decks in the basement during the party.
Additionally, above at the Fosfofar, V de Viadão will throw down to help keep the party going well into the night.

At 8:30 PM, the band Samba Urbano starts the night off at Lapa’s Carioca da Gema. Then, composer and singer Toninho Geraes will follow at 11PM. Geraes has composed for artists including Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho and during his show tonight, he will sing their hits, as well as his own compositions. Additionally, he will reinterpret the works of Moacyr Luz, Paulinho da Viola, and Chico Buarque, among others.
