Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight famous Brazilian mandolinist Hamilton de Holanda returns with his orchestra to Lapa’s Circo Voador for another edition of Baile do Almeidinha.
Started in 2012, Baile do Almeidinha is a reoccurring event at Circo Voador where Holanda invites fellow musicians and friends to perform with him and his orchestra.
Tonight they will welcome special guests Roberta Sá and Jaques Morelenbaun for a tribute to famous Brazilian songwriter and musician Tom Jobim. Live performances of the works of Pixinguinha and Paulinho da Viola, among others, will also be included in the show tonight.
