CarambaWednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Bringing together the best new sounds in South America, the Caramba party returns to Centro’s La Paz club tonight.

Jaloo, a native of Pará state and one of the hottest up-and-coming producers on the Brazilian electronic music scene, will spin “tropicalpopelectrobeats“, a mixture of technobrega, pop and swing. While, Antonio Antmaper, also known as Omulu, will deliver the best of bass, tecnobrega, cumbia and more.

La Bombacion of the Manie Gang, Apavoramento DJs and VJs, Mouchoque , Matias, Argerax, Susana Guardado, and Ícaro dos Santos will also perform. Additionally Holland born, Fabian Chicano will deliver a special UK Garage and house set.

FIFA Fan Fest (Copacabana)
From June 12th through July 13th, Copacabana beach will be home to the FIFA Fan Fest during the 2014 World Cup games. The 31,000 m² area on the beach between the streets of Princesa Isabel and Duvivier, will house a large screen to view the matches live and a stage for entertainers that, during the tournament, will include; Sorriso Maroto, Dudu Nobre, Arlindo Cruz, Anitta, Sandra de Sá, Bom Gosto, Suvaco de Cristo, Cordão da Bola Preta, Fogo e Paixão, Bloco Brasil, Empolga às Nove, Blitz. All 64 matches of the World Cup will be shown live, which the exception of simultaneous games, when one match will be broadcast later. On Brazilian match days a second 50m² screen will be added. Each game day, the area between the streets of Princesa Isabel and Duvivier will open two hours before the first match of the day and always close at 10PM. Capacity for the area is 20,000. Entry is free and entrance will be granted according to order of arrival.

It’s again time for Karaokê Indie tonight at Botafogo’s Casa da Matriz. Sing your heart out with one of their over 7,000 karaoke menu selections or enjoy the best of alternative rock, indie, punk and nu-metal with DJs Alexandre Brandão and Ricardo Abrahin on the second floor. Two for one drinks; caipirinha, caipivodka, Hi-fi, mate-me por favor and sex on the beach, until midnight.

Ginga Tropical (Catete)
Experience Brazil’s rich musical history at Casarão Ameno Resedá in Catete tonight. Throughout the month of June on Wednesday and Sunday nights, the venue will hold Ginga Tropical theater events featuring the best of Brazilian rhythms and dancing.A tribute to Brazilian legend Carmen Miranda kicks things off followed by cabaret and an homage to famous Brazilian televison presenter Osvaldo Sargentelli. The show will continue with samba, dancing Orixás, lambada, forró, maracatu, pagode, bossa nova, funk and frevo, almost everything one needs to get a true feel for the rhythms and musical culture of Brazil in one night.
