Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Clarice Falcão performs tonight at Circo Voador. The multimedia sensation was born on October 23rd, 1989 and was inspired by Chico Buarque and Luiz Tatit and her parents, both actors and writers, John Hawk and Adriana Falcão. At age thirteen, Clarice went on stage for the first time in the musical show “To See the Stars”, written and directed by her father who foresaw a successful actress and a singer in his daughter.

Clarice was captivated by the stage at an early age, when she created, directed and acted in her first internet video, “Two minus two”, in partnership with Celio Porto. She then began writing scripts and writing songs. At age seventeen, her starring role in the video “Ties”, crowned her the winner of an international Youtube competition, which was later screened at the Sundance Film Festival. The soundtrack of the film features “Australia”, composed and performed by Clarice herself and now holds over a million views.

Since then, Clarice can not decide whether to be an actress, screenwriter, playwright, comedian, singer or songwriter. She has become a multimedia artist and internet sensation.
