Chosen as one of Tripadvisor’s “Travellers’ Choice Award 2012 – Luxury and The 25 Best,” the JW Marriott offers 229 deluxe rooms and sixteen suites to host guests that visit Rio for business or pleasure.

Beyond facing Rio’s iconic Copacabana Beach, from the hotel’s pool on the rooftop terrace, guests have an amazing view onto Rio’s most famous sights: Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer and Copacabana Fort.

“The JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro represents one of the most sophisticated Marriott hotel brands in Brazil. With its seventeen floors, the hotel, in the heart of Copacabana beach, offers welcoming environments and friendly service,” Marcela Soares, Marriott’s Communications Supervisor tells The Rio Times.

“Our major concern is to offer a luxurious service to our guests and clients. Therefore, our team is constantly being trained with the purpose to reach and provide service excellency,” Ms. Soares continued.

The Mirante Health Club, including a spa and a fitness center, as well as two restaurants are among the other amenities of the Marriott hotel and they are open to the public. The restaurants offer Japanese and Italian cuisine and are led by renowned chef Ramiro Bertassin. For a visit to the restaurants or the spa, prior reservations are recommended.

The JW Marriott Hotel is also ideally suited for business clients. It houses twelve meeting rooms with more than 375 square meters of space in total. The largest meeting room, the Wayana room, has a maximum capacity of 250 guests on over 210 square meters.

Michael Lindsay, serving president of The American Society of Rio de Janeiro (AmSoc Rio), who host monthly meetings in the Marriott, is very satisfied with the hotel’s service.

“The Marriott is a great hotel with a great level of service and attention. We are always treated extremely well, the conference room is technologically connected, exquisitely furnished, and refreshments are always available to us. If we have any needs, there is always a hotel representative on hand to assist us,” he tells The Rio Times.

Lindsay Duval, former AmSoc Rio president adds, “It is a pleasure to work with [the Marriott] because they listen and are open to new ideas. We had very personalized service and felt special and they always exceeded our expectations.”

All the rooms are equipped with the latest technology, such as high-speed internet and event technology services, all intended to save the guests valuable time. For meetings, professional AV technicians are in attendance to make sure every event runs smoothly.
