Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Casa da Matriz gears up to rock the night away with Rockaway, the popular party that blares the best of rock and metal from the 60’s and 70’s all the way up to today.
With 2012 closing to a finish, there is no better way to kick of the beginning of the end. Located at Casa da Matriz, one of Rio’s oldest and funnest venues, Rockaway will feature two floors of headbanging good times. DJs Polly, Grazzia and Ivy are set to play decades of hits from psychedelic, punk, new wave, synth, grunge, metal and pop-rock. Upstairs DJs Arlei Hey Hey and Mayra Araújo command the floor with 80’s hits and classics.

SLAP was created by the record label Som Livre, bringing to light some of the great young talent of new Brazilian music. To celebrate their 5 years of success, the festival will bring together some of the biggest names in the music scene today for unprecedented jam session.
