Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Time flies when you are having fun, especially if you are one of the hottest live music venues in town located in a beautiful location right on the beach of Arpoador. This is more than the case for Studio RJ, who just after one year has proven to be a staple in Rio’s thriving music scene. Located above the popular Astor bar and restaurant, Studio RJ occupies a coveted and cherished location which has been home to other popular music events such as Jazzmania during the Eighties and Nineties. With another location in São Paulo (Studio SP), Ale Yousseff and Maurizio Longobardi opened the Rio branch along with local help from cariocas Luis Antonio Cunha and Plinio Profeta.

Celebrating the night will feature hip hop fenom Criolo along with an array of DJs.

Mostra Livre de Artes (Lapa)
In honor of their 30 year career of hosting the best and boldest events in Rio, Circo Voador presents Mostra Livre de Artes, a show/ exposition featuring artists, poets, films, bands and DJs. There is a complete program beginning with poetry followed by films both inside and outside and bands later on in the night. Full art expositions will be displayed as well.

Studio RJ- Comemoraçao de 1 Ano de Studio RJ (Arpoador)
A year can fly by in the blink of an eye. Studio RJ has made sure to celebrate their 1st anniversary in proper form. Over the past year, this incredible venue, in the heart of Arpoador, has played host a variety of musicians, bands, DJ and artists alike, including Banda Black Rio, Fausto Fawcette, Orquestra Voador and many more. Celebrating the year anniversary will be Brazilian hip hop superstar Criolo from São Pualo, along with support from DJs Marcelinho da Lua, Nepal, Plinio Profeta and Ale Youssef.

Karaokê Indie (Botafogo)
Express yourself at Karaoke Night at Casa da Matriz. A weekly ritual for those who attend so know that its no joke. Be sure to bring your game face! Tonight be prepared to be scared, not just by the voices alone but rather all the ghoulish freaks out and about on this Halloween Night! Dress in your favorite costume and enjoy the nights Halloween festivities.

Northeastern Brazil invades Rio with your weekly dose of forró, accordion-fueled country tunes. With artists such as Marcia Guzzo and Band, Edson Duarte, & DJ Sergio Feijó.

FutRock (Lapa)
The blend of sports and music seems to be taking off at Leviano on Wednesday nights. Come enjoy some food and drinks while watching your favorite broadcasted soccer games on one of many flatscreens. The games are followed by live bands starting with Johnny´s Band to get the night rolling and followed by Mon Cher.
