Peruvian President, Dina Boluarte, informed today, Thursday, that the South Andean city of Cusco will be the main venue of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) to be held in 2024.
“We celebrate APEC 2024 (…) in that coordination with the premier (president of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola) and with the ministers, we will be centralizing APEC there in Cusco so that from there we can say to the world: Peru is present”, expressed Boluarte.
The President announced during the Regional Council of State meeting, held in the capital district of San Borja, where she considered this summit “one of the most wonderful and important events” to be held in Peru.
In February last year, it was confirmed that Peru will host the APEC forum in 2024, of which it will assume the rotating presidency.
It will be the third time Peru chaired the forum, as it did in 2008 and 2016.
