Covid mortality in São Paulo fell 46% in the last four months

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The governor of São Paulo, João Doria (PSDB), announced Wednesday (14) that the mortality rate for covid-19 in the state fell 46% in the last four months.

The governor attributed the drop in the index to the advance of vaccination against the disease in the state.

The period analyzed by the government, fixed in four months, between March and July this year, starts at the peak of the second wave of contagion of the new coronavirus in the country and extends with the advance of immunization.
