UK to require electronic authorization for tourist entry by 2024

The United Kingdom will require electronic authorization to enter its territory for tourists of nationalities currently exempt from visa requirements, such as Brazilians.

According to the British government, the new rule will be in effect until the end of 2024.

Foreigners who already need a visa today will not need the new document.

Officially called ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation), the form must be filled out online and will work as a kind of application for the stay in the country made by the traveler before boarding.
