On International Labor Day, May 1, there will be right-wing and left-wing actions all over Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Groups of both the left and the right have called for demonstrations across the country on May 1. Former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) is expected to attend an event in São Paulo.

Government leader Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is expected to join his supporters' demonstration in the capital, São Paulo, via video call.

International Labor Day is traditionally celebrated by trade unions with demonstrations. The main event of the CUT (Central Única dos Trabalhadores) will take place in São Paulo, where Lula will be present.
