Of the 37 new ministers appointed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), no less than 19 have already faced investigations in court. But, like the PT, they managed to get rid of suspicion – some were convicted and managed to reverse the sentences, while others had inquiries filed, without ever having to respond as defendants in criminal actions.
There are also several cases in which they were accused or investigated outside the criminal sphere, in actions of improbity, linked to public management in positions they held, or electoral, due to suspicions in the campaigns. Currently, none of them . . .
