RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Chilean economy continued to recover the jobs lost at the worst moment of the health emergency, in July 2020.
The September-November 2021 mobile quarter confirmed the rebound in employment, with the unemployment rate dropping by 3.3 percentage points compared to last year, to reach 7.5%. In addition, the employment rate reached 53.6%. Thus, 74.6% of the jobs destroyed during the peak of the health emergency, when nearly 2 million people were unemployed, have been recovered.
