Brazil’s domestic flights in August reach 70% of pre-pandemic scenario

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazilian airlines in August posted the fourth consecutive month of growth in the number of domestic flights, with an average of 1,680 daily departures, equivalent to 70% of the average number of flights in early March 2020, before the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in the sector.

The results are from a survey conducted by the Brazilian Airline Association (ABEAR) based on data from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). Also according to the association, this is the second best performance for the indicator since the start of the pandemic, second only to January . . .
