Brazil: Strike threat escalating; may reach Federal Treasury at airports

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Planalto Palace begins the week amid strike threats of federal servants planned for Tuesday, January 18, unhappy with the wage increase pledged only for security agents.

Among Jair Bolsonaro's aides, the concern is that the expansion of strikes and potential spread to other careers may further impact the President's disapproval rate, at 60% according to Datafolha.
