Brazil soybean planting increases to 6.16% of Mato Grosso areas – IMEA

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Soybean planting has reached 6.16% of the areas projected for the 2021/22 harvest in Mato Grosso, an increase of 4.95 percentage points in the week and ahead of schedule compared to the same period in previous years, data from the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (IMEA) showed Friday.

According to the survey, producers had planted only 1.7% of the area at this time in the 2020/21 harvest, when a shortage of rainfall delayed the work.
