RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In the month of August, the domestic market flew over 5.5 million passengers in terminals across Brazil, 30.2% less than in the pre-pandemic August of 2019. In the year-to-date, airlines have transported 35 million travelers.
Aircraft occupancy stood at 80.1%, down 2.9% compared to 2019. Domestic cargo transported in the month totaled 33,461 tons, down 11.3% compared to 2019.
