A fire hit a cargo terminal at the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro on Ilha do Governador, North Zone of the city, in the early afternoon of Wednesday, 18.
Authorities confirmed the information in Rio de Janeiro.
It is not known yet what caused the fire. Rio's Operations Center warned drivers driving in the region to be careful with the great smoke that spread due to the fire.
The airport's administration informed that the local fire department is working alongside firefighters to fight the flames and that the affected area has been isolated.
