Mexican 2nd quarter GDP grows 1.5% over Q1 2021, 19.7% over Q2 2020

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Mexico's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.5% in the second quarter of the year compared to the first quarter, according to seasonally adjusted figures, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) reported on Friday, July 30.

In comparison with 2020, Mexico's GDP rose 19.7% in the second quarter and 7% in the first half of the year, based on preliminary original figures.
