Agriculture and cattle ranching in Brazil posts highest job generation in Q1 since 2007

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In the first quarter of 2021, the agriculture and cattle-raising sector generated a positive balance of 60,575 new jobs, the best result for the period since 2007, when 62,245 new jobs were created.

The analysis is part of the Technical Note issued by the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) and was based on data from the General Registry of Employed and Unemployed (CAGED), released April 29 by the Ministry of Economy.

According to CNA, jobs were created in virtually all regions in January, February and March this year.
