(Opinion) The initial accusation by Senator Marcos do Val (Podemos) that he was coerced by Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to carry out a coup d'état has strengthened the discourse of right-wingers and the Liberal Party itself to distance itself from the former head of the Executive.
Some understand that the denunciation gives more arguments to reorganize the conservative movement and enable a national leadership for the 2026 elections without having Bolsonaro as a protagonist.
