Latin American Coronavirus Cases Now Surpass Those of US and Canada Together

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Cases of coronavirus in Latin America have exceeded the total combined infections in the United States and Canada for the first time, amid the wave of outbreaks in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Argentina, showed a Reuters survey released on Sunday.

The growing number of cases makes Latin America the most impacted region by the pandemic worldwide, with 26.83 percent of global cases.
