RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics of Peru has announced that the total Peruvian export volume fell by 9.3% in October.
Lower shipments of mining products had a negative impact on the overall export of traditional products.
The volume exported from the mining sector fell by 15.0% when compared to the same month of the previous year due to the lower shipments of copper (-14.5%), gold (-9.0%), zinc (-36.1 %) and lead (-13.2%); while shipments of iron (24.1%), tin (53.1%) and refined silver (23.1%) increased . . .
