Radio journalist shot dead in Paraguay 

A journalist has been murdered in the Paraguayan town of Pedro Juan Caballero, in the department of Amambay on the border with Brazil.

Alex Álvarez (39), a member of the team of Radio Urundey FM, was attacked by a motorized vehicle while waiting for the traffic light to change.

The victim was accompanied by his brother.

When asked, the police commander of Amambay, Rubén Paredes, explained that the journalist was driving a vehicle registered in the name of a colleague who works at the same radio station.

In this regard, he did not rule out that the attack was not directed against the victim, although he clarified that they were analyzing different hypotheses.
