The curious case of Turpay, the only town in Peru without coronavirus

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Turpay is a town located in the department of Apurímac, 3,800 meters above sea level with more than 1,000 inhabitants. The curious thing about this place is that it is a coronavirus-free town.

This was achieved as a result of its citizens and authorities' prevention efforts and it is the only place in Peru that has not reported any case since the start of the pandemic.
