Analysis: With efficient vaccination, Chile becomes ‘observatory’ for Brazil’s economic recovery

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - According to the International Monetary Fund, the Andean country should grow 6.2% in 2021; Chile is an exporter of commodities and uses the same vaccine as Brazil, but has a fast immunization plan against the coronavirus and room in public accounts for new economic stimulus as advantages.

With vaccination campaigns against Covid-19 underway virtually everywhere in the world, eyes now turn to indications of a return to normality. For economists, this means knowing when a safe return to work, growth in economic activity, and a return to employment creation will be possible.
