Chile announces US$123 aid package for the poorest

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Monday, July 11, the Chilean government announced an aid package for families most affected by high inflation. Around 7.5 million Chileans -or a little more than ⅓ of the country's population- will receive winter aid worth US$123.

The benefit will be granted in a single installment. It is an extension of the "Chile Apoya" ("Chile Supports") program, which is already in place.
