Norway and Sweden disburse US$35.3 million for energy in Mozambique

The Governments of Sweden and Norway will disburse US$35.5 million for the second phase of the Mozambican government's "Energy for All" program, indicates a joint statement released a few days ago.

"In this second phase, 400,000 new connections will be made via the National Electricity Grid (on-grid) and another 90,000 via isolated systems (off-grid), giving access to sustainable energy to a total of 2.2 million people," the statement said.

According to Lusa, the amount will be disbursed in light of an agreement signed with the World Bank, which has supported the government . . .
