International donations received by Cape Verde fell by almost half in 2022 to less than €20 million, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
According to a report on budget execution from January to December 2022 by the Ministry of Finance, these transfers - which involve food aid, direct donations, and support from governments or international organizations - amounted to nearly €336.2 million in 2021.
The report also maintains that these transfers fell by 46.5 % to €19.3 million in the whole of last year.
This performance is justified by the 31.1% increase in food aid in 2022 . . .
