Cape Verde and Portugal have signed a protocol to enhance collaboration in electoral systems and census administration, aiming for more transparent elections.
The protocol was signed in Praia, witnessed by Cape Verdean Minister of Justice Joana Rosa, and Portuguese Secretary of State of Internal Administration Isabel Oneto.
Cape Verde plans to leverage Portugal's civil identification system database to establish an information and electoral management system for transparent and efficient elections. Portugal's support will assist Cape Verde in modernizing its electoral processes.
Minister Joana Rosa stressed the importance of parliamentary support and consensus in addressing electoral challenges.
