Rio de Janeiro closer to having non-essential activities totally shut down

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The serious picture of overcrowding in the ICUs in Rio de Janeiro by Covid-19 has led the city's scientific committee to recommend the total closure of all non-essential activities. The panorama was presented in a meeting on Monday morning, March 22nd.

Now, it will be up to Eduardo Paes to decide what to do from the prognosis released by experts. City Hall contacts believe that the mayor should accept the recommendation.
