Covid-19: Uruguay’s Medical Association says pandemic “under control”, halts daily reports

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - After 17 months and 525 reports, the association announced that it will stop reporting, as Uruguay has "returned to a controlled pandemic scenario."

"We believe that the goals set have been widely met, so today we will stop doing our daily #COVID19 report," it wrote on Twitter.

THE "MILESTONES"

The Uruguayan Society of Intensive Care Medicine selected milestones in the development of the pandemic in Uruguay.

The first was recorded on March 10, 2021 when the number of Covid-19 patients admitted to intensive care exceeded 100.
