RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Europe, criticized by the World Health Organization over its slow rollout of vaccinations against COVID-19, is scrambling to speed up the pace of injections to avoid being left further behind by Britain and the United States.

* More than 70 British lawmakers have signaled their opposition to introducing so-called vaccine passports that the government is considering bringing in to help open the economy as it starts lifting restrictions.
