RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Ecuador on Tuesday registered 98 new Covid-19 cases and reached a total of 492,363 infections during the pandemic, with the first case recorded on February 29 last year, reported the Ministry of Health.
The number of confirmed deaths with the disease increased by only 3, to a total of 22,388 during the pandemic, to which 9,431 "probable deaths" are added, thereby totaling 31,819 fatalities.
Regarding the situation in the provinces, the official report stated that Pichincha, the capital of which is Quito, accumulated the highest number of infections with 180,201 . . .
