Covid-19: two weeks after extended holidays, cases and deaths increase in Rio de Janeiro

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Two weeks after the beginning of the ten-day super holiday, Rio de Janeiro registered an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases and deaths. São Paulo, which also had a holiday over the same period, registered a reduction in the number of cases, despite reporting an increase in deaths than March 25th.

Agência Brasil consulted the daily cases and deaths according to the seven-day moving average, calculated by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz).
