RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus pandemic reached 138,977 in Brazil, according to the most recent data update from the Ministry of Health, released on Wednesday evening, September 23rd.
In the past 24 hours, 869 new deaths were recorded. On Tuesday, the total stood at 138,108. Health authorities are investigating 2,422 deaths that may or may not be related to the disease.
