Ecuador becomes first Latin American country to decree mandatory vaccination against Covid-19

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Today, the Ecuadorian Government made vaccination against Covid-19 mandatory, becoming the first country in the region to officially introduce this controversial measure for everyone, including children as young as five.

It joins controversial European countries such as Germany, Austria, and Greece, which also opted for this decree.

Ecuador declared this Thursday as mandatory vaccination against Covid-19, at a time when the number of cases of infection in the country continues to increase, informed the Ministry of Public Health.
