Brazil, US$33.1 million in arrears, is W.H.O.’s second largest debtor

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil is the World Health Organization's (W.H.O.) second-largest debtor with arrears of US$33.1 million (R$176 million) between 2019-2020, according to Ministry of Economy data.

However, for the time being, the country is safe from losing its voting rights, as occurred with Venezuela. Bolivia has also been cautioned that unless it pays by next year's World Health Assembly, it will no longer be eligible to vote.
