September is projected economic recovery month for 54% of small businesses – SEBRAE

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - According to a study conducted by the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE), up to 9.5 million small businesses could resume their pre-pandemic activity level by September 1. However, this would only be possible if half of the Brazilian population is vaccinated by then.

The study is based on Fiocruz data and the Ministry of Health's vaccination schedule. The number represents 54% of individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs), micro and small companies in Brazil.
